We don’t believe any product is truly sustainable. We see sustainability as a journey, not a destination.
We partner with brands who meet a number of criteria within our framework. Whilst all our brands must be cruelty-free, our sustainable and ethical framework recognises brands for their commitment across a variety of measures which includes vegan, organic, natural, plastic-free, no/limited use of single-use plastics, waterless, refillable, recyclable, upcycled ingredients, female-founded, diversity-founded, societal and eco initiatives.
Brands need to be cruelty-free and then meet several of these criteria. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you!
We Love To Celebrate Female Founders …
Our platform is open to all founders but we seek to actively champion the empowerment of female founders and we are proud supporters and advocates for Buy Women Built.
Why is this important to us? Well did you know that today, in the UK, only 2p in every £1 invested by VCs goes to female founded brands? We don’t think that really cuts it! So we’re keen to support, advocate and shout about our amazing female founders and the benefit supporting women in business can have - for society and the UK economy.
Throughout our site you will see the Buy Women Built logo on brand pages where the brand is female founded or co-founded. We can’t all invest in female founders, but we can all shop from them!
